Prioritize your storage needs.  Before deciding what to add in terms of storage, the most critical thing is to consider how the bathroom will be used and by whom.  A bathroom that is only used by a guy or an occasional house guest  may need nothing more than a stylish medicine cabinet.  But for women and families, more counter space and cabinets are usually desired.  Without planning ahead for your storage needs, your room will end up feeling smaller and cluttered.  Pare down what you need to store, then plan well for those items.  In a small bathroom, there’s no need to have unnecessary items around – and certainly no need to add storage to hold them!
